A dubious legacy by Mary Wesley
My writing is going to be about one of the main characters: Margaret, Henry's wife. During my lecture I had big and serious problems trying to understand this obscure character.
At the beginning of the plot any reader would have taught that she is a mad person and such a arrogant person because of her behaviour with Pilar, indeed, she was really haughty with her. How ever, since that scene, Margaret tries to be alone all the time, in her bedroom. Moreover, it is like she wants to be lonely, by her own, without anyone around her. Therefore, I found a little bit disconcerting this kind of behaviour coming from her.
What is more, in some way, Margaret and Henry are very distinct from each other. That is to say, Margaret represents an insecure world full of sadness and loneliness, nevertheless, Henry symbolizes a cheerful world without worries.
